Got tagged by happydalek and decided to fill this out.

1. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
2. Tag seven people to do the same.
3. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag whoever wants to do it.


1. I don't have children, and never want any. I don't like babies. I don't think they're cute or interesting; they're disgusting and repulsive, and the sound of one crying is possibly the most annoying noise ever heard.

2. I'm a big American football fan. I also love horse racing.

3. A few years ago, I developed a huge blood clot in my leg. I limped badly for five months and got SO SICK of complete strangers staring at me, just because I was limping. Now, though, I'm mostly just grateful I've pretty much recovered.

4. I don't have medical insurance. Can't afford it. That's why I delayed going to the doctor for several days when I knew something was wrong with my leg. Finally it hurt so much I gave in and went to the hospital.

5. I collect autographed celebrity photos, obtained through the mail. Will have to post a link sometime to my scans of many of these pics. My favorites are of classic movie stars like Joan Fontaine, Victor Mature, and Shirley Temple.

6. My favorite beverage is Mountain Dew.

7. I don't drink alcohol. I simply didn't care for the taste on the occasions back when I did try it, so I go with soda or juice instead.

I saw her in 'Jane Eyre' the other day. :)
Did you know that she had a decade long feud with her sister (who was also an actress)?

Also, classic movie stars so gorgeous and sexy, they just seem to radiate an aura of mystery and class.

There's some permanent swelling and my leg gets tired more easily than it did pre-clot, but it doesn't hurt anymore. Considering that it could have killed me, I came out of it OK.

I love classic movies. I spent a lot of time hunting up addresses for stars who are still alive and writing to them, and I received many great responses. I scanned quite a few of the photos, will have to figure out where I left the links and post them sometime.

I see some users who have dozens and dozens of friends and I wonder how in the world they managed that! I find LJ friending to be pretty awkward, because so often it's hard to tell if someone wants you to friend them. Once I asked a user if it was all right if I friended her. She told me no, that she wanted people to do it without asking. If they asked, she refused! (I don't think I've been back to her journal since.)
