I pretty much gave up on Teaspoon after a while, specifically because of badly written Mary Sue fic. If I saw "Original Companion" as one of the characters, I knew it would just be wish-fulfillment slightly disguised to look like fiction. There are very few exceptions to this. I can think of three.
I have a few rules about fanfic: 1) Keep the personal fantasies personal, and don't be so vain as to think everyone wants to read them. 2) Proper spelling and grammar are your friends. 3) Stay true to the characters and world you are borrowing.
That fic not only broke all the rules, it left them bleeding in a gutter.
