ah, many thanks...i can now avoid watching it with complete ease of mind. :)
romano's exit arc was offensive for all sorts of reasons, not least because of the message it sends to disabled people: 'well, you might as well drop dead; there's no more point to your life now!' just because they had no idea what to do with the character was no excuse for that level of shoddy writing.
