TV update: Sanctuary, Lipstick Jungle, My Own Worst Enemy

Sanctuary has been picked up for a second season.

Lipstick Jungle and My Own Worst Enemy have been cancelled, but apparently will both finish out their runs with episodes that have already been shot. Viewership was pretty low for both shows. I watched LJ (because it's awesomely terrible) and I think it deserved to be cancelled. As for Enemy, I thought the pilot was boring and terrible (possibly the worst possible combination) so I'm not crying over that one. Judging from the ratings, not many people will be.

Sounds like the next big news will center on Pushing Daisies (from all I've heard, the word will be bad), Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone (bad for one, good for the other; not sure which yet), and Prison Break (could go either way).

DSM? I hope it's good ):

From what I've been reading, the decision is either Eli Stone or DSM goes very soon. One version of the schedule shows Eli sticking around and DSM gone, but then another source says the opposite. So, wait and see?

The wait is gonna kill me. I just got into DSM starting this season, it would be a mean kind of karma to cut it short now. D:

The word on PD seems to be there will only be 13 episodes this season. But they are not canceled and appear to have the greenlight to do season 3, beginning production next May.

On the one hand, the shorter seasons will help their budget issues. On the other hand, another looong break between seasons will probably kill it. :|

It's ABC lowest-rated scripted show, so I suppose any more episodes at all would be a big deal. It would be tough for them to justify bringing the show back for new episodes this season, when series with better performances are not going to survive. I don't see viewership picking back up with a third season after an extended break. So many people quit watching between the first and second seasons! PD just doesn't have a big enough fanbase.
