NaNoWriMo: a proposal

I'm on track to finish my "novel" in terms of word count reaching 50,000. But for the rest of today and tomorrow, I am chucking NaNo in favor of finishing my Seven/Ace clichefic. In fact, from now until Wednesday morning, I think all NaNo participants should set aside their novels and write Seven/Ace instead. The world would then be a much better place. So that is my proposal.

35628 / 50000 words. 71% done!

LOL! I like your proposal - not that I'll be doing it, mind, but I still like it!

Honestly, I think I would have been grateful to work on almost anything other than my novel today. Just for a change from that slog, you know? But I do genuinely like Seven/Ace!

I can understand that. I am very fond of Seven and Ace too...

I...I have no especial beef with anyone doing NaNo, but I will say that my flist in November would be way, way more fun if everyone wrote Seven/Ace instead of talking about NaNo. Yes.

My month would have been more enjoyable, I'm sure. I really don't like my novel very much. Seven/Ace is a lot more fun to write, at this point.

I love that proposal. I wish I could contribute to it. I'm not doing NaNoWriMo, but this year, I've been attempting to resurrect a long Seventh Doctor story a friend and I tried to write in 1994 and then abandoned. I've managed to rewrite a lot of what was done, so what exists of it is better, but damn if we can figure out how to go on from there, which was the problem in the first place. I think it's still not going to work, as neither of us gets much fun out of writing now. *sob*

I have the same "resurrection" problem with a couple of old stories. :( Luckily, my Seven/Ace is for a ficathon with just a 500-word minimum.

Not doing NaNo and not writing Seven/Ace, but I am working on Peri/Erimem.

I'll be looking forward to your Seven/Ace though.

I like Peri/Erimem a lot, so that sounds like a good substitute to me. ;)

Teh Phlege heartily approves of this...and considers finishing the bloody sequel to The Jacket as a show of solidarity, and coz she's got nothing else planned all week.

And why the hell did I use my CSI icon?

I meant to use this one.

If not this week, I hope you write it sometime. There's far too little Seven/Ace out there. :(
