Fifty Doctor Who multi-era fanfic recommendations
Here are 50 multi-era Doctor Who fanfic recommendations, which I compiled using the prompts table from
rec50.
(I added another recs list here, if anyone wants to check it out.)
ETA: If you actually read this post, can you please take a few seconds to let me know?
Most Who recs lists I've seen are primarily (or entirely) composed of Nine and Ten fic, and give far too little notice to the great fanfic for the classic series. So when I signed up for
rec50, I decided to go multi-era. Fifty recs and 10 Doctors would obviously indicate five recs per Doctor, but except for five "reccer's choice" slots I had to match each story to a particular prompt. Not quite as easy as it first sounded. So a few eras ended up a little on the short side, with four recs each, and a few did a bit better than five recs each. On the whole, though, the list is pretty balanced and the important thing is that all the stories are good and matched my prompts at least reasonably well. (And here are the prompts, if you're curious: table.)

*Waves*
But boy am I glad I'm here!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this!
(FYI, the lack of comments may have a bit to do with the system crash type thingy that seems to have happened....I had to reset passords and all to access my account. *shrugs* So, I wouldn't take it personally or nothing. I think it mostly bad LJ right now. Hope that helps brighten your day! *g*)
Re: *Waves*
But it was publicized at major places for at least 36 hours BEFORE the LJ problems started--and most responses do tend to come within the first 24 hours--and all that happened was a really dead silence. I actually checked to see if I'd flocked this post by accident! Then there was another long, dead silence here for a good 12 hours+ after LJ was fine again and people were posting away in other journals and comms.
Anyway, I could only fit one Turlough story on this particular list, but there are a lot more I'd recommend. Depends on what you like or don't like: gen, slash, vignettes, AU, etc.
Re: *Waves*
If it has Turough in it, I'll probably like it. *g*
Though I tend to 'slashy-angsty' for preference. *shrugs* What can I say? I'm a Bad, Bad girl. *G*
Bizzaro thing though, this is the second time now that an attempt to post a response here has resulted in an 'invalid password' pop-up and me running the gauntlet of reset password, re-enter old password, post message. Did the LJ have another hiccup today?
Re: *Waves*
I haven't had any problems with LJ lately, aside from that downtime a few days ago. Of course, maybe there was more trouble and I missed it.
Re: *Waves*
Yay! *claps hands gleefully* *g*
