The Eleventh Doctor's clothes

Since I insist on returning to Fanfiction.net time and time again, I probably was asking for this. That fact doesn't make it any less painful, though.

I just read this reaction to the Eleventh Doctor's outfit: ... also the new Doctor has a great outfit. One thing confuses me though. I read someone saying she liked his braces. It doesn't look like he has anything on his teeth and isn't kind of old to still wear braces anyway?

Excuse me. I'll be across the room headdesking for the next hour or so.

(P.S. It doesn't help that the [Canadian] author of the story in question incorrectly used both pants and suspenders within her fic. I may end up with a concussion after all the headdesking I see myself doing.)

Ahahaha, I love ffn! Clicking on stuff there is kind of like accepting a mixed drink made by your alcoholic friend: you're not sure what's in it and you know you'll probably regret it later, but you know it'll make for an interesting time in between.

That sounds about right. Occasionally, I find a good story there. It seems to be happening less and less frequently over time, though.

See, American fic writer here. I get around it by never, ever mentioning the devices which hold up your trousers. (I tend to use trouser for any non-jean like garment, anyway.)

Yeah, better to avoid using a word than to use the wrong one. I don't necessarily need to know details about a character's clothing, but if the writer gives them then she'd better get them right.
