Since my RL friends either don't know New Who exists or don't care for it, I watched "End of Time, part 2" with my foster dog. I thought it was loads better than part 1; the dog liked the first half of the episode.

I very much liked the slashtastic Doctor/Master scenes. I hope to see lots of fanfic now.

"Worst rescue ever"? Way to be ungrateful, Doctor. ;)

Okay, I feel like the return of the Time Lords/Gallifrey was wasted. It could have been a major story with tons of possibilities and instead was just a throwaway plot. Boo!

The Master was awesome, though.

That was Rassilon? Am I supposed to understand how?

Not enough Donna.

Did not like how the Doctor threw his temper tantrum and blamed poor Wilf. I also wasn't wild about Ten's death being another in the self-sacrifice mode, simply because the Nine-to-Ten regeneration was the same sort of thing and I would have preferred a change of pace.

Nice to see all of those old friends, even though the scenes were shamelessly self-indulgent. I'm soft for that sort of thing, so I went with it.
-Martha/Mickey? Hmmm. I'm reserving judgement on that one. I liked Martha/Tom a lot.
-Sarah Jane seriously needs to teach Luke to look both ways before he crosses the street.
-The Jack scene was great. It's ridiculous to expect him to remain celibate forever out of love for Ianto. Much better for him to potentially be happy.
-There's Donna again. I wish someone would hand me a winning lottery ticket!
-Good to see Rose and Jackie from early 2005. Sappy as it was, I didn't even mind Ten standing in the shadows to speak to Rose.

Still, that was a very long goodbye.

The regeneration, finally!

The dog's reaction (he zoned out during the Doctor's speechifying):

My reaction: \0/ (I am NOT SORRY to see the end of Ten. It was well overdue, IMO.)

I liked Eleven's "I'm a girl!" bit. He did seem overly manic, too much like Ten, but it's far too early to say anything for certain. As long as Matt Smith gets good writing, he should be fine.

I'm going along with -- the Time Lords were so desperate when they resurrected the Master that when they lost him, they resurrected Rassilon.

Too much goodbai, not enough Time Lords.

I nearly cried at the sixteen four knocks.

And falling off a radio mast made Four regenerate but jumping out of a ship through plate glass equalled no regeneration. Makes no sense!

Yeah, if they were going to have Ten crash through that window and then be able to get up and move around like he did... it was strange. It was a pretty spectacular fall.

I was surprised and disappointed that the Time Lords weren't in the episode more.

My thought at the time was 'What are your bones made of, adamantium!?'
