That Doctor Who meme

1. When did you start watching?
Oh, a ways back, when the classic series was on PBS. Four was my first Doctor.
1a. Why?
IIRC, my brother got me into it because he was a fan.
2. What was your first episode?
I think it was The Armageddon Factor.
3. Which episodes have you seen?
Some One, Two, and Three. Most of Four. All of Five. Some of Six. Most of Seven. The TV-movie. Most of the new series.
3a. Favourite?
Black Orchid, Robot, Battlefield, City of Death, a bunch more.
4. Are your friends/family interested in the show?
My brother still is, mildly, but only in the classic series. He doesn't like New Who at all.
5. Which Doctor is your favourite?
On TV, Seven. Four. And Five. I can't pick just one. In the audios, Eight and Six have been the best. See, with this answer, I got five Doctors for the price of one!
6. Which Doctor is your least favourite?
Ten by a mile. And to think I started out liking him. Oh, how wrong things have gone.
7. Which TV companion is your favourite?
From way back, it would have been K9. I've always loved him. But fairly recently, I re-discovered Ace (I don't even remember seeing any of her serials before then) so now it's her. Also Romana, Turlough, Evelyn.
8. Which TV companion is your least favourite?
I actively dislike Rose in her second season, especially in the later episodes.
9. Do you listen to the Big Finish audios?
hell, yeah
9a. If so, which is your favourite?
I love the first series of the Sarah Jane Smith audios. These audios are awesome and everyone should give them a try.

Not yet, but I definitely want to see the ones that include Frobisher!

Torchwood and SJA, yes.

The cracktastic Torchwood, of course!
14. Is there any particular episode/book/audio/comic you desperately want to watch/listen to/read?
Various audios and serials. I'll get to them.

1. Do you write fanfic for Doctor Who?
I'm still bogged down with Buffy WIPs from years ago. Please don't remind me of this fact.
2. Do you create Doctor Who icons?
I can just about draw stick figures. I leave icon-making to those who are good at it.
3. Recommend a fanfic/icon/fanvid/fancomic/fancreation
I have a bunch of recs in my LJ. See my memories.
4. Have you been to any Doctor Who conventions?
Yeah, right.
5. Have you ever dressed up as a Doctor Who character?
no
6. Do you own any Doctor Who merchandise?
DVDs. Books.
7. Are you a fan of Russell T Davies?
Not so much, no.
7a. Steven Moffat?
Not especially.
7b. Paul Cornell?
Not particularly.
8. What say you to Season 6b?
Sure, why not?
9. The UNIT dating controversy?
What controversy?
10. The Blinovitch Limitation effect?
I don't think about it much.
11. Multi-Doctor episodes?
I love them.
12. What's your favourite Doctor Who technobabble?
I'll stick with that classic about the polarity of the neutron flow.
13. Have you watched other TV shows exclusively because of the presence of Doctor Who actors?
I have, and I'll never do it again because of the horror that was Casanova. Peter O'Toole's presence was the only good thing about that pile of dreck.
14. Have you met any of the actors?
no
14a. Travelled to any filming locations?
no
15. What do you think of The Curse of Fatal Death?
I haven't given it any thought, to be honest.
16. Do you have any fannish opinions that you think are fairly unpopular?
My mad love for Seven. The fact that I ship Seven/Ace. Let's see, I like the Sixth Doctor. I like Peri fine and usually don't mind Nicola Bryant's accent. (BTW, I'm American and I know a couple of people with accents pretty similar to hers.) I absolutely despise Ten/Rose. I think Jack is the only great New Who companion and I could easily live without the others. I don't dislike Adric, Kamelion, or Mel. Actually, Mel is great in the audios.
17. What's your favourite pairing?
I'm good with virtually any pairing, especially in fanfic, but I particularly favor Seven/Ace, Five/Turlough, Four/Romana, Nyssa/Tegan, Four/Sarah, Five/Nyssa, Three/Jo, Two/Jamie, Barbara/Ian, Erimem/Peri, and Eight/Charley.
18. What pairing(s) won't you touch with a really long pole?
Just one, and that's Ten/Rose.
