Martha wants to steal Rose's life

Martha is so jealous of Rose, she wants pretty much everything Rose had. At least, that's how one author at ff.net would have it in Stealing Rose's Life.

Not only does Martha want the Doctor, she wants to look like the "lovely" and "glorious" Rose instead of her own "ugly" and "disgusting" self. And wait till you see how she describes her own skin color!



Martha hates her own name. But she likes Rose's. (RRRRRROOOOOOSSSSSEEEEEE. So lovely and melodious.)

She hates her hair. She likes Rose's. (Martha reached up and pulled forward a handful of her own hair, ugly and black and dull.)

She hates her skin. She likes Rose's. (Martha hated her skin. It disgusted her. It was the colour of poo!)

She loves the Doctor, but knows he prefers Rose. (She wanted to tell the Doctor how she felt, she wanted to make him love her so much. Maybe she could trick him into it. )

What does she decide to do? Why, make herself look like Rose, of course! That's the plan, at any rate. It's also the end of chapter 1.

The author's profile indicates that she's 20. Also apparently a batchipper ("Doctor + Rose forever!!"), if the content of the story didn't already make that clear.

hmmmmmmmm...really um...someone needs a serious reality check. If she needs to write this kind of fic to validate her pairing then I would be inclined to guess she needs to stop writing. Yes so I wrote a fic where Tegan sprays Peri with a water hose, it not as bad as Peri wanting to become Tegan. Characters are meant to be different and if this person can't reconcile...blah blah blah they need to move back to writing about how Twinki Winki wants to steal La La's ball (I only know this because I have kids).

Also, yanno, Tegan totally would spray someone she doesn't like with a water hose. Whereas I seriously doubt Martha would want to become someone else.

That's what I got from the few serials I saw Martha in. She was very sure of herself. Even the goodbye part of Martha she seemed confident. And yes to Tegan's part :P

At the least, this author could do everyone a favor and simply not include Martha in her stories.
