I finally found my camera and got Jack to pose for pictures.

He's a very sweet cat, and he seems to be pretty smart. He's already learned not to step on my computer keyboard, plus he's pretty good with come, sit, and stay. Once we master those ones, we'll move on to down, shake paws, and speak.

Also, I think I figured out where he was hiding when I couldn't find him: on a narrow windowsill, behind the curtain, in the other room. I shut off most of the rooms with doors, and there isn't all that much furniture left in the other ones, so there are not too many potential hiding places.

He loves attention, so getting him to come when called has been fairly easy. "Stay" has been more challenging, since he wants to follow me all the time, but he's improving fast.

And I'm amazed you've got him obeying commands! In 30+ years of cat ownership, I've never *once* know a cat that did as it was told. They always did/do as they want!

When I saw how affectionate and responsive he is, I decided to try a few basic commands to see how it went. He just seems to want to please me. I don't know how consistently he'll obey me, but so far he's learning as fast as any dog I've ever had.
