I finally found my camera and got Jack to pose for pictures.


He likes the same quilt that the dog did:

He's a very sweet cat, and he seems to be pretty smart. He's already learned not to step on my computer keyboard, plus he's pretty good with come, sit, and stay. Once we master those ones, we'll move on to down, shake paws, and speak.

Also, I think I figured out where he was hiding when I couldn't find him: on a narrow windowsill, behind the curtain, in the other room. I shut off most of the rooms with doors, and there isn't all that much furniture left in the other ones, so there are not too many potential hiding places.

He's so cute! :) I'm surprised he responds to commands, but maybe the cats I know are just stubborn.

He loves attention, so getting him to come when called has been fairly easy. "Stay" has been more challenging, since he wants to follow me all the time, but he's improving fast.
